As with the St. EMILION vineyards, close neighbors, the Castillon appellation presents a wide range of terroirs. While our Castillon estate is mainly located in the commune of Ste Colombe, a pretty little hilly village in the heart of the Castillon vineyard, part of it also extends to the commune of St. Magne. Generally ruby-colored with a red fruit nose when young, with blackcurrant notes, this vintage expresses itself at its best between 6 and 10 years with:-A gamey nose and forest floor notes.-An amber color.-A full, round and supple palate.-An overall impression of elegance.
