Years 1928, 1929, 1945, 1978 and2005 are the best vintages of the millennium. our selection Domaine de la Romanée Conti 2003 100/100 Gorgeous. The scent immediately and intensely evokes violet, the wine brightens the room. On the palate, notes of fresh red cherry – no dried cherry or black cherry. Superb balance and nothing to suggest that this is a heatwave vintage. Already full of charm but with the structure to live for many glorious years. Domaine de la Romanée Conti 1990 100/100 I can’t think of a deeper, more youthful red Burgundy than DRC’s 1990 La Tache. Although it still needs 3-4 years of cellaring, it is incredibly well endowed, with an extraordinary aroma of Asian spices and black raspberry jam, cherries and blackberries infused with smoke, toast and dried herbs. Full-bodied, yet ethereal, with layers of flavor and stunning delicacy and complexity. The La Tâche appellation is among the most prestigious in Burgundy 🍷 0 comments 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestThreadsBlueskyEmail You may also like… The 1989 vintage: the year of all celebrations 30 September 2024 Jeannie Cho Lee’s 100/100 6 September 2024 1985 vintage: good in all regions 16 August 2024 Jeannie Cho Lee, global wine expert 5 August 2024 1949: the third greatest vintage of the decade 31 July 2024 Focus: Jancis Robinson’s 20/20 21 July 2024 Jancis Robinson, a woman of wine. 10 June 2024 Wines rated 100/100 by Robert Parker 🍷 30 May 2024 Michel Rolland, the modern oenologist 10 May 2024 “Parkerization”: the effect of Robert Parker in the... 17 March 2024
