Beautiful perfume of dried tea leaves, dried flowers and savoury herbs. This vintage lacks the depth of some of Unico's greatest vintages but the wine is still intense and offering great drinking pleasure.

It's from a weaker vintage, and the wine showed some oxidation and was not 100% clean, with hints of mushroom and a polished palate that made me hesitate. A second bottle was marginally better and a little cleaner, but the wine was still a little evolved. Certainly not a great vintage of Vega.

Pale rusty ruby. Sweet milky-coffee aromas. (No élevage details given, NB.) Acid is definitely starting to dominate. There is certainly pleasure for antiquarians here but perhaps not for clear-eyed modernists. Definitely drying out.
