Pronounced nose intensity with notes of cooked red fruits, spices, toast. The wine had past its peak and declining. It probably taste better probably 5 years ago. Its still holding well but struggling.

(6-2007). It is a delicate wine that should not be decanted. The nose seems to have worn out and yet when stirred, floral and anise emerge. They are unquestionably the raw characters. On the palate, the wine looks younger than nose. The body is melted, nice, but lack the scale. The second part of mouth is more interesting than the first and especially a little more expanded. Tannins. Persistence pleasant, fresh and fruity.

The Château Troplong Mondot produces its wines in AOC Saint-Emilion. First classified wine in Saint Emilion appellation, is a vineyard of 33 hectares located in Saint-Emilion in Gironde. AOC Saint-Emilion, it is ranked Premier grand cru classé B in the latest rankings of the wines of Saint-Emilion 2006.

The vine of Château Trolong Mondot consists of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc and the yields do not exceed 50 hl / ha. The vines have an average age of 35 years. With extensive aging potential, wines from this grand cru classé is characterized by concentration and complexity. Troplong Mondot offers since 1985 a second wine called Mondot.
