Dark color, intense and slightly evolved. It is important to aerate the nose a lot to dispel an animal nuance. Unctuous, fragrant and savory palate, evolving coated, with taste towards a powerful finish, without an ounce of dryness. This is its finest asset.

Round and velvety with lots of berry and cherry character and toasted oak. Full-bodied, with lovely texture and a medium finish. A tiny bit more on the finish would push it to outstanding. Yummy wine.

Château Tour Carnet
Château La Tour Carnet is a wine estate located in Saint-Laurent-Médoc in Gironde. Situated in the Haut-Médoc AOC, it is classified as a fourth growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification. The Sire de Carnet, squire to the Lord of Candale, Jean de Foix, received this property as a gift in the 13th century. Then many owners succeeded one another. Today, the reputation of Château La Tour Carnet is well established. Indeed, the Château La Tour Carnet vineyard is located on excellent terroir at an altitude of 19 meters. The Château is now owned by Bernard Magrez, who owns several other vineyards in Bordeaux and worldwide. The grape varieties of Château La Tour Carnet consist of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot. The wine ages for 18 months in barrels, 70% of which are new. Oenologist Michel Rolland is a consultant for the estate. The second wine is Les Douves du Château La Tour Carnet.
