Dark russet with pronounced brick at the rim. Smells much more evolved than the 1970. Smudgy, sweet start then marked acidity with a hint of decay. Medium to light weight. Drying on the finish. It must have been quite seductive in its youth but the fruit lacks a little freshness.

Château informations
Sociando Mallet
Chateau Sociando-Mallet Cru Bourgeois Haut-Medoc wine from the Gironde. Chateau Sociando-Mallet is a wine prized by lovers of fine wines, as evidenced by its annual sales success in futures. The wine of Jean Gautreau is a great forgotten the 1855 classification. Because it is not formally part of the nobility of the Crus of the Medoc - even as it competes more than one. - Chateau Sociando-Mallet must remain prudent in its price level. It offers one of the best price-pleasure of all the great Bordeaux!.
