Château Siran
CHÂTEAU SIRAN, Margaux, Bordeaux wine. Produced on sandy, gravelly soil, Siran wines are typical of the great growths of the Margaux Appellation. Both powerful and refined, they always seek the perfect balance between tannins, fruit, and acidity. CHÂTEAU SIRAN is a wine for long aging; time will bring that softness on the palate so often likened to silk and velvet. As a Margaux wine, resulting from a subtle blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, Château Siran generally favors finesse, femininity, and silkiness over the pure power and virility of some Médoc wines. The high percentage of Petit Verdot, which can reach up to 15% of the final blend in certain years, brings a spicy finish that reinforces the unique character of Château Siran wines. Made under the guidance of the great oenologist Denis Dubourdieu, Château Siran is both charming in its youth and suitable for very long aging. It will surprise wine enthusiasts with the complexity of aromas developed over time.
