Château Pavie
Château Pavie

In Bordeaux, it is now established that it was on the slopes of Pavie and Ausone that the vine was first planted in the Saint Emilion region in the 4th century. However, it wasn't until the 19th century that Pavie's true wine-growing vocation truly took shape. At that time, the estate was divided among several families of owners, including the Tallemans and the Pigasses. In 1954, during the official classification of Saint Emilion wines, Château Pavie achieved the rank of Premier Grand Cru Classé B. The arrival of Gérard Perse at Pavie in 1998 would mark the beginning of a tremendous leap forward, now endorsed unanimously by the wine world. In 2012, Château Pavie obtained the top of the classification among the Premiers Grands Crus Classés A.
