Earhy, herbs, blackberry, mint and olive scents, soft, supple textures and a round, sweet, blackberry jam finish.

Dark red, almost black. Crimson edge. Looks younger than it is. Smells like pencil, blackcurrent and smoke. Dinstinctive blach current taste. Middle length. Low acidity. Needs some air. Still young.

Gorgeous aromas of blackberry, currant and spices. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and layers of fruit. Goes on and on. Best after 2007.

Meyney is often the most gentle of the great estates of Saint-Estèphe, and in 2003 this character is most obvious. Adrian van Velsen - vvWine
Medium ruby, slightly brightened edge, pure, still somewhat restrained nose, red cherries, then also blackberries, also floral notes, some tobacco, good complexity, tight, very fruity start, then the wine spreads out, fine, ripe, red Fruit, with subtle Christmas spices, good structure, ripe tannins, good, not too dominant acidity, it's pleasantly fresh, not extremely complex but balanced, the finish is harmonious if a bit short.

Jancis Robinson June - 2023
Jancis Robinson
Deep, bright colour. Still incredibly youthful. Graphite, blackcurrant and menthol notes. Savoury edge as well. Lots of fruit still, the palate ripe but dry. Fairly punchy tannins so a bit of chew on the finish. Maintains freshness. Still going strong. Remarkable for the vintage.
