Dark red. Moderate to good. Live. Net. Medium intensity. End. Fruity. Mature. Key cherry. Such. A little quiet. A little marked by the setting. Silk, silk, silk, more volume, more than one unit and velvet texture and excellent structure. Again and again in mid-palate, the wine is very, very affectionate before finishing tannins wrapped, still less present in all wines tasted that day. Nice length licorice and floral. It is delicious and pretty complex.

Mid to dark crimson with a ruby rim. Complex, mellow nose and on the palate the tannins seem to have disappeared altogether. Medium weight, well mannered, but definitely ready to drink. .

The 2000 Pavillon Rouge, exhibits a mediumdark ruby color with some lightening at the edge, notes of cedar, spice box, black cherries, and currants in very evolved style at full maturity.

Glorious aromas of freshly picked raspberries, with tiny hints of cream and minerals. Full-bodied, with superfine tannins and a long, long finish of berries and cherries. Super second wine from Margaux. Best Pavillon Rouge I have ever tasted.

A privilege to bear the name of its appellation Margaux, for Chateau Margaux there is no doubt ample justification.

For several centuries this Premier Cru Classé has expressed the highest degree of quality of exceptional terroir patiently assembled by several generations of owners. Maintained and harvested exclusively by hand with extreme care, the 78 hectares of vines (75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) derive their wealth deep in the soil which is clayey gravelly and particularly dense and thick. The fermentation in oak vats, after which the wine is strictly selected, follows 18 to 24 months in new oak barrels. A masterpiece among Bordeaux, the best according to some, Château Margaux reveals the delicate taste and opulence, depth and complexity, and exudes a rare elegance of rose, violet, black fruit, suspended by tight tannins that require patient aging before the wine fully expresses itself. The château also produces a second wine, Pavillon Rouge de Château Margaux, and a dry white wine, Pavillon Blanc de Château Margaux.
