Falstaff January - 2023
Falstaff
Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, subtle edge lightening. Delicate licorice, ripe red cherry fruit, some cassis and candied orange zest in the background. Medium complexity, delicate dried plums, fresh acidity, blackberry fruit on the finish, mineral aftertaste, already very drinkable.

Dark in color, it takes no effort to find the cassis, black raspberry, spice, tobacco and earthy notes. In the mouth, you'll find soft but stern, fine tannins, clean, sweet, ripe fruits and polish in the finish.

Dark color, of good intensity. Slight evolution. Nose with ripe and fresh fruit. Palate with silky body, developing pleasantly and long, just a touch tannic. Wait another two to three years.

Intensely concentrated 3rd wine of Latour with lots of tannins along with fresh crunchy dark berry aromatics. Very nice Pauillac red with good concentration and finish.

Château Latour
Château Latour

Château Latour is one of the most emblematic estates of the Pauillac appellation and a founding reference in Bordeaux wine history. Its name appears as early as the 14th century, linked to the presence of a watchtower on the Gironde estuary, whose proximity still profoundly marks the vineyard's identity. From the 18th century onwards, Château Latour wines have been recognized for their consistency and aging potential, establishing themselves among the greatest wines of the Médoc.

Classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé during the official 1855 classification, Château Latour occupies a central place at the top of the Bordeaux hierarchy. The estate is based on a particularly homogeneous terroir of deep gravels, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, which gives the wines a powerful structure, remarkable depth and great regularity of expression.

The signature of Château Latour is distinguished by a dense tannic architecture and demanding construction, favoring precision and longevity rather than immediate seduction. Iconic vintages such as Château Latour 1945, Château Latour 1961, Château Latour 1990, Château Latour 1996, Château Latour 2000 or Château Latour 2009 illustrate the estate's capacity to consistently express the excellence of the Pauillac terroir and the singularity of its style.
