Jeannie Cho Lee June - 2016
Jeannie Cho Lee
A gorgeous La Mission that is fully mature and at its peak now. Lovely cedarbox, aged cigar and dried blackberries. There is sweetness on the mid palate with supple, silky tannins and a long finish. This wine is a wonderful surprise - impressed with its vigor and layers of complex, nuanced flavors.

Jancis Robinson April - 2017

Mid ruby with brownish tones. Delicate, fragrant nose with definite mineral/warm bricks overtones.  Tannins are completely faded but the fruit hasn't. Balsam on the finish. Far from heavy and certainly has nowhere to go but the finish is particularly beautiful.

Falstaff January - 2010
Falstaff
Medium ruby garnet, delicately ochre-tinted, broad watery rim. On the nose, very delicate animalistic nuances, finely spiced cassis, orange zest, an immensely multi-layered bouquet. On the palate, silky and elegant, super-class tannin, immensely finely structured, seductive acid arc, morello cherries on the finish, powerful and long-lasting, fine cedar note on the finish, great length, perfect maturity, a world-class wine.

Château La Mission Haut Brion
Château La Mission Haut Brion

Château La Mission Haut-Brion is one of the most emblematic estates of Pessac-Léognan, recognized for the depth, longevity and singularity of its red and white wines. Classified as Cru Classé de Graves, the château shares with its illustrious neighbor Château Haut-Brion an ancient history and an exceptional terroir, while asserting its own stylistic identity, often described as more powerful and more earthy.

Planted on deep gravel soils mixed with clays and sands, the vineyard benefits from a grape variety dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for the reds, complemented by Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc for the whites. This diversity allows for precise blends, giving birth to wines of great aromatic intensity, structured, but always balanced.

Since its integration into the Dillon family, La Mission Haut-Brion has undergone an exemplary modernization of its facilities while maintaining a respectful approach to the terroir. Vinifications are conducted with great precision, aiming to preserve the expression of the soil and the purity of the fruit.

Major vintages such as Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1947, Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1949, Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1955, Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1982, Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1989, Château La Mission Haut-Brion 1990, Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2000, Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2010, illustrate the estate's capacity to produce exceptional wines for aging, sought after on the great collection wines market and recognized for their remarkable evolution over the decades.
