(08-2012) Pale brick. Lots of very fine sediment. Lightly gamey nose with some 'old burgundy' impression of sweetness. I had been hoping there would still be a bit more life in this wine, chosen to serve with grouse. The fruit has certainly faded. Most 1982 bordeaux have a lot more life left in them. But actually, an hour later from the decanter, the wine had real life and refreshing structure and acidity. It definitely improved.
