Ripe and rustic. Dark garnet color, with plums, Indian spices, leather and cherries on the nose. Full-bodied, with firm tannins and a chewy texture.

Château Haut Bages Liberal
Haut Bages Liberal, a fifth growth, owns a splendid parcel very close to Château Latour and disperses the rest of its vineyard on the lands of Bages. It therefore has everything to produce a complete Pauillac. M. Bettane in Le classement de 1997. It has regularly produced an excellent, underestimated wine since the mid-70s. The vineyard, which was entirely replanted in the 60s, is now approaching maturity. R. Parker in Bordeaux Wines. Characteristics of Haut Bages Liberal wine: a dark color, a bouquet of prune, truffle and toasted oak, its richness and concentration justify great ambitions after aging. A spicy nose with animal and empyreumatic notes, a significant volume in the mouth, a great silky and persistent tannic structure.
