The Gerin family has been established in the heart of the Côte Rôtie vineyard in the Rhône for over 6 generations. This vineyard, located in the village of Ampuis, is the northernmost appellation of the Rhône Valley. Domaine Gerin was created in 1983 after the purchase of a plot in Côte Rôtie. It was only in 1987 that the first bottle was produced following the takeover of the family estate (The vineyards of Marcel Gerin and Alfred Gerin, grandfather and father).

Domaine Gerin produces many great wines with growing reputation, such as La Landonne and Les Grandes Places under the Côte-Rôtie appellation.

Today, the estate extends over nearly 17 hectares, and the two sons of the family, Michaël and Alexis, who currently manage the operation, still have many challenges to tackle, particularly in viticulture. In 2020, the estate made the decision to begin conversion to organic farming.
