Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Firm, structured, and semi-masculine, this old-style Pomerol is slightly more interesting on the nose, with its aromas of earth, plum, cocoa, tobacco, and black cherry, than on the palate. Perhaps a little more aging could soften this wine, but at nearly 16 years old, it's probably at that level.

Tom Cannavan March - 2010

Sweet red fruits, cherries, and red plums. Significantly lighter in aroma than the Clinet, with floral notes of violets, this wine also smells of jammy blackcurrant. On the palate, it's wonderfully rich and ripe, clear and bright with firm tannins and taut acidity.

Jean-Marc Quarin March - 2001

Dark red robe. Good intensity. Lively. Magnificent. Medium intensity nose. Fairly fresh fruits. Notes of licorice and blackcurrant. A hint of cocoa (typical of the vintage). Smooth and velvety attack that evolves towards a juicy, delicate mid-palate, without being too soft, asserting itself in the finish and ending with a beautiful woody and tannic length.

Jancis Robinson March - 2010

Medium ruby ??color with some development. Fresh and clean nose, perfectly balanced. Sweet, floral, and delicate—fully developed, with almost imperceptible tannins. This would be the perfect time to enjoy this game wine.

Château Gazin
Gazin
The wines of Château GAZIN are very typical of the Pomerol terroir. Their sumptuous generosity offers a wide aromatic palette of red and black fruits that harmonizes with their intense, purple or garnet color. The wines of Château GAZIN also often deliver nuances of plum, chocolate, coffee or licorice, aromas of almond, toasted bread, tobacco and vanilla, and a minty freshness. Maturity gives them a spicy nose, truffle fragrances, notes of undergrowth and animal scents: game, fur, leather... On the palate, they are characterized by the finesse of their tannins, their balance and concentration enhanced by a delicate woodiness. Feminine and charming, due to the dominance of Merlot, Château GAZIN wines can be enjoyed pleasantly after a few years of aging, but they often deserve to wait fifteen, twenty years or more.
