Cellar Tracker January - 2018

Bouquet was quite vibrant at first, but dropped off a little over time. Surprisingly little development on the nose, just a delicate, almost floral aroma. Not terribly concentrated in the mouth, but again, the developed character is quite subtle. Very smooth, the tannins almost completely integrated. Reasonable length, still with a little bit of grip on the finish. A delicate wine, but by no means a feeble one.

Dark red color. Slight evolution. Nose of low intensity. Vegetal. On swirling, a hint of alcohol. Tender attack developing on a somewhat fluid structure, which lacks framework. The astringency is simple and fairly well balanced with a lively note on the finish

Château Gazin
Gazin
The wines of Château GAZIN are very typical of the Pomerol terroir. Their sumptuous generosity offers a wide aromatic palette of red and black fruits that harmonizes with their intense, purple or garnet color. The wines of Château GAZIN also often deliver nuances of plum, chocolate, coffee or licorice, aromas of almond, toasted bread, tobacco and vanilla, and a minty freshness. Maturity gives them a spicy nose, truffle fragrances, notes of undergrowth and animal scents: game, fur, leather... On the palate, they are characterized by the finesse of their tannins, their balance and concentration enhanced by a delicate woodiness. Feminine and charming, due to the dominance of Merlot, Château GAZIN wines can be enjoyed pleasantly after a few years of aging, but they often deserve to wait fifteen, twenty years or more.
