Château Filhot

Château Filhot is a Bordeaux wine estate of 350 hectares including 62 hectares of vineyard, located in Sauternes in Gironde.

In the Sauternes AOC, it is classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Cru Classé) in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

On a soil of gravel, clay and sand resting on the limestone plateau, Château Filhot's grape variety composition consists of 60% Semillon, 36% Sauvignon and 4% Muscadelle. The Château Filhot vines have an average age of 35 years and produce a yield of 15 to 18 hl/ha.
