The light golden color is followed by a wine with a floral, pineapple, and tropical fruit-scented bouquet, medium body, as well as lovely, elegant, and brilliantly pure, botrytised, lively flavors. Just medium sweet, this wine could be served as an aperitif wine.

Château Filhot

Château Filhot is a Bordeaux wine estate of 350 hectares including 62 hectares of vineyard, located in Sauternes in Gironde.

In the Sauternes AOC, it is classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Cru Classé) in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

On a soil of gravel, clay and sand resting on the limestone plateau, Château Filhot's grape variety composition consists of 60% Semillon, 36% Sauvignon and 4% Muscadelle. The Château Filhot vines have an average age of 35 years and produce a yield of 15 to 18 hl/ha.
