Expert's opinions

(9-2012) This is now fully mature with secondary nuances now visible on the spicy and earth red berry fruit nose. There is fine intensity to the sweet and equally spicy full-bodied flavors that build and build into an ever-so-slightly edge finish that delivers excellent length. This is not an Ech of finesse or refinement there is plenty of character as the complexity makes this a lovely effort that, for my taste anyway, has just now arrived at the front edge of its prime drinkability.

Domaine Faiveley
DOMAINE FAIVELEY Merchant and owner - 117 hectares, one of the largest in Burgundy - Faiveley, a family-owned house run by François Faiveley, is a unique case. Tasting wines from certain Burgundian négociants might lead one to think that sound management consists of buying poor-quality wine cheaply from winegrowers and spending a lot of money to say: "We are the best!"
