Château L'Eglise Clinet
Chateau Eglise Clinet as the number of properties in Pomerol is named for its proximity to the church of the town befitting majestically amid the vines. Few media because of its production highly confidential, Chateau l'Eglise Clinet is nevertheless one of the best of the appellation Pomerol as well as Castle or Castle of the Gospel Conseillante. Ideally located on deep soil of the plateau of Pomerol, the vineyards of Chateau l'Eglise Clinet are rescued from Big Freeze of 1956, which led to the uprooting of most of the vines of the appellation. This small jewel of Pomerol, was operated by Pierre Lasserre also owner of Clos Rene Pomerol. In early 1980, the perfectionist Denis Durantou taken the lead six acres of vines (average 45 years). Chateau l'Eglise Clinet also produces a second wine called the Little Church.
