Gilbert & Gaillard November - 2013
Gilbert & Gaillard
Pale yellow robe. Very refined nose expressing aromas of toasted bread, ripe raspberry and pastry. The palate reveals an extremely refined expression, a silky effervescence and clear aromas. A very delicate champagne on the palate.

With its interesting notes of ripe red apple and spices, but also accents that testify to bottle maturity, it also shows a very special blend of freshness and finesse, fullness and serenity on the palate. We like that very much.

Pale gold but deeper than the 2002. Intense and complex aromas of honey, brioche and baked apples/peaches. Again a hint of ginger and baking spice. That cedary note that I found on the nose in the 2002 is here on the palate, very delicately. Rich and honeyed. Deep and quite broad but the acidity brings harmony to that richness. Open and generous.

Falstaff November - 2014
Falstaff
Medium golden yellow, delicate mousse. Ripe yellow stone fruit notes, a hint of plums with a pleasant base of honey and roasted notes, developed bouquet. Juicy, round and opulent, flanked by crisp acidity that shows refreshing minerality on the finish. A complex companion to food.

Deutz's top cuvée is as good as ever. Bottle aging has helped it to throw off its youthful awakwardness and develop a rounded, ripe style that is now a pleasure to drink. Pear and apricot flavors are still vibrant, along with a hint of toast Finely structured and elegant, it's wonderful to drink now, but it will be good at least until 2018.

Champagne Deutz Flavorful, subtle, generous and indulgent. Champagne Deutz embodies all the characteristics of the world's most festive wine. Champagne Deutz's supply vineyard is qualified as "very high percentage", which is exceptional in the Champagne plot classification. Only the first pressing juices, the purest and finest, are allowed in the bottle. 30 months of patience are required to achieve maturity in the cellar.
