(2010) Reminds me of Port, with nuts and spices on the nose. Full-bodied, with soft and easy tannins and leather, berry and spice on the finish. Starting to dry a little now.

(02-1993) The chateau feels the 1989 vintage of Mouton-Baronne-Philippe is its best wine in over three decades. It exhibits a very forward, creamy richness, gobs of velvety fruit, a heady alcohol content, and a fat, lush finish.

(11-2019) Dark with some Pauillac structure still in evidence. High-toned, classic Pauillac nose with some dryish tannins still showing. Dry finish – definitely needs food. Bit of a dry old stick on opening. Will it take on flesh and charm in a decanter? Amazingly unfleshy for a 1989!
