Since 2006, a policy of rational cultivation is conducted throughout the vineyard, the wines Cantenac Brown occurred on rocky land south of the village on a ground of grave typical Medoc. The average age of vines Cantenac Brown is 35 years, the planting density is 8500 to 10,000 plants per hectare, the yield is 45 hectoliters per hectare. The planting of Cantenac Brown is composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc which produce wines with an intense bouquet, suitable for aging.
The 1970 is dense ruby in color, with a big, black currant, cinnamon, herb, leather, and mineral-scented bouquet. This massive wine has huge tannins which refuse to melt away. At nearly 20 years of age, the 1970 remains a muscular wine that is impressive only for power and toughness.
