. Evolved red with ruby and brick reflections. Correct intensity. Luminous. More beautiful than the 76. Clean. Medium intensity. Fruity (strawberry) quite fresh on a base of undergrowth and a hint of spice (cinnamon). Clean. More intense. Still fruity with a hint of leather. Could be more complex. Very beautiful round and rich attack that develops on a very fruity structure, of straight form, of good intensity that evolves on astringent but well-balanced tannins. Very, very long fresh and aromatic finish that persists on fine and complex nuances of fruit, spice and exotic wood. To wait for but there is not in this wine the concentration of the great 75s.

Château Canon

Château Canon is a 34-hectare wine estate located in Saint-Emilion in the Gironde department. Classified as a Premier grand cru classé B in the Saint-Emilion classification, Château Canon was one of the first estates in the Bordeaux region where the vineyard held a primary place. Despite being a neighbor of Ausone and a 1er grand cru, the wine has never reached the level one might expect from it.

The acquisition of Château Canon in 1996 by the Chanel company has nevertheless given a second wind to this growth. Indeed, significant investments, particularly in the winery, have improved the quality of the wine. Château Canon is known for its meticulous selection of grapes in three stages, and there is no doubt that the work undertaken by the estate will increasingly bear fruit.
