Fully mature, this bottle was in perfect shape. Quite floral, with red fruits and wet earth, the wine was silky in texture, sexy and fresh. If the finish was longer, this would really rock.

Strong carmine-garnet, good color core. Delicate suede leather on the nose, subtle herbal spice, fine nougat hints, gently underlaid with dried fruit. Medium body, sweet and balanced, an elegant food companion with quite a powerful finish, no longer to be expected from the Eintel.

German Stephan von Neipperg has spared no effort to restore the former glory of this highly reputed château in the years following World War II. Cultivation has become more rigorous, yields have been significantly reduced, and vinification has embraced modern methods, giving the wines remarkable concentration. The château also produces a very expensive and highly sought-after cuvée outside the appellation, called Mondotte.
