Branaire Ducru

Château Branaire Ducru is a fourth classified grand cru (classification of 1855) of the Saint-Julien appellation in Médoc. The vineyard extends over nearly 60 hectares of vines. Château Branaire-Ducru is today one of the jewels of Saint Julien. This Grand Cru Classé is sought after for its very pure red fruit. Its typical composition of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, opens with dazzling aromas of raspberry and blackberry, before becoming more complex on the palate with delicate nuances of mineral, pencil lead, smoke and flowers. of spring… This exemplary quality wine stands out from its famous neighbor by its originality: the tasting inevitably reveals, under the red fruits and elegant tannins, a hint of spices and a chocolate aroma rare in the appellation.

The Château also produces a second wine: Duluc de Branaire Ducru. For these two wines, Château Branaire Ducru vinifies with a blend: Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The best vintages of Château Branaire Ducru are 197519821989, the 1995 vintage and the 1996 vintage. The wines of 200020012003 and 2005 are also exceptional. Finally, the great vintages of 2009vintage 2010 and the 2015 vintage are great vintages.
