First tasted in 1995 at John Jenkin's Bordeaux Club dinner, noting the refreshing '86 lemon-like acidity on the nose, and oak; fairly sweet, mellow (character, not acidity) and mouthfilling, fully evolved, excellent acidity. Several notes since: in full bloom, 'almost New World' (heaven forbid!) at Decanter's 20th anniversary lunch (1997); and a return to Childerly Hall.
A very good, positive colour; very rich, minty bouquet; indeed richness the operative word.
Perfection.
