The 1992 vintage<\/a>: a mixed vintage<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The 1992 vintage<\/a> is rather average in Bordeaux. The winegrowers unfortunately suffered the consequences of the frost of the previous year. Indeed, 1992 was a year with changing climatic conditions: early flowering, a very hot and dry start to the summer, heavy periods of rain in August until September… Which consequently disrupted the smooth running of the harvest. and imposed a severe selection of grapes during sorting. However, the work and know-how of the winegrowers have made it possible to produce very fine wines.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first and second classified growths such as Ch\u00e2teau Mouton Rothschild 1992, Haut Brion 1992, or even Ch\u00e2teau Lafite Rothschild 1992 have managed to do well with supple and elegant wines. The wines of the Pomerol appellation are also very successful, such as Petrus 1992 or Ch\u00e2teau Trotanoy 1992.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Burgundy region<\/a> was also impacted by these climatic conditions. 1992 is a complicated vintage just like the aging of the wines. However, the best red wines of 1992 are very structured and have fat. The Beaune, Pommard and Volnay appellations are more qualitative with wines with solid structures and beautiful fruit. The white wines of Burgundy are of superior quality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

1992 is a good vintage in the Champagne region<\/a>. The harvest was abundant and of good quality. The 1992 Champagnes are very good. Beautiful wines, very greedy, endowed with a beautiful aromatic freshness and brioche notes. If you wish to orient yourself towards the purchase of a wine from 1992 or to taste a wine from 1992, Champagnes are to be preferred.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
Finally, the 1992 Rh\u00f4ne wines are of a slightly higher quality than the previous vintage, in particular the Southern Rh\u00f4ne wines with the Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-Pape, C\u00f4tes-du-Rh\u00f4ne and Gigondas appellations\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rated 18\/20 by the specialist magazine La Revue du Vin de France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As for Rh\u00f4ne wines<\/a>, we recommend the Domaine Chapoutier De l’Or\u00e9e Blanc 1992<\/a> in the Hermitage white appellation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This great Rh\u00f4ne wine is mature and rated 96\/100 by Robert Parker, at tasting it is described as “thick and juicy”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
