(8-2014) Despite the extreme heat of June, July and August, this beautiful wine’s terroir shows through. A dense plum/purple color is accompanied by sweet cassis and black currant aromas, broad, round, juicy fruit flavors, medium body, and hints of figs, spice box and cedar. This complete, juicy, fully mature, impressive wine can be consumed over the next 7-8 years.

Beychevelle
Beychevelle
Chateau Beychevelle  is a classic Saint-Julien exemplified in its roundness, richness of flavor, and power. The harmony of the greatest classic Medoc, which deserves to be more than fourth grand cru classé. Beychevelle also has a second wine called Amiral de Beychevelle. Beychevelle also has another Saint Julien with the pretty name of Le Château Moulin de la Rose (Estate Mill of the Rose). Chateau Beychevelle one of the purest gems of seventeenth century Medoc, but it is equalled by the exceptional quality of its wine. At full maturity after at least 10 years, the wine of Chateau Beychevelle is smooth, supple, balanced and exceptionally pleasant, in a word: classic, like the architecture and gardens of the castle.
