CHÂTEAU BEYCHEVELLE 1992

The 1992 vintage is very correct at Château Beychevelle. The wine develops a fruity nose. The attack is not aggressive but silky with fruity and spicy notes. Lots of finesse and elegance in this classified growth and tasty tannins.

Jean-Marc Quarin October - 1995
Jean-Marc Quarin
Red. Bordeaux. Dark. Medium intensity. Slightly evolved. Dark for the year. Clean. Medium intensity. Oaky. Toasted. All the exoticism brought by the toasting! Animal touch of leather. In my opinion too oaky. Soft attack, developing on a round structure that evolves on fruit. Slightly lively note that tightens the tannic structure on the finish. But it's an interesting wine for the year. Medium persistence, but flavorsome where the tannin still appears oaky. It can easily be kept for 4 to 5 years. One must bet on the fact that it will blend. Let's say that this wine could be better balanced today.

Château Beychevelle
Château Beychevelle

Château Beychevelle is a fourth growth classified cru (official 1855 Médoc wine classification) from the Saint-Julien appellation. Located on the left bank of the Médoc, the vineyard covers 92 hectares of vines. The vines are approximately 30 years old and benefit from sustainable farming practices.

Château Beychevelle is a classic Saint-Julien: roundness, richness of aromas, and power. The classic harmony of the greatest Médoc wines, which deserves much more than the fourth growth status in the 1855 classification. The best vintages of Beychevelle are undoubtedly 1982 and the 1986 vintage. The wines from 1989, 2000 and 2005 grand crus are equally exceptional. Finally, the château has also produced great vintages such as 2009, 2010 and the 2015 vintage.
