Wine Spectator
(1-2001) A subtle yet rich Pomerol. Gorgeous, with intense aromas of black licorice, berry and black olive. Full-bodied, with superfine tannins and a long, long finish.

Jean-Marc Quarin
(3-2000) Dark red. Good intensity. Clean. Medium intensity. Fruity and smoky. A hint of toastiness. Ditto. Clean and soft attack, developing on a smooth and rich structure, which unfolds on very coated tannin and a fruity and smoky taste. The wine is rich and flattering with a finish with a taste of incense. It's very, very good without being very complex. Slightly woody persistence.

Medium density but quite aromatic. Red fruits, smoky, very delicate. This wine reveals itself to be both rich and sweet. Excellent.

Château Beauregard
Château Beauregard has a complex terroir of gravel mixed with clay and sand; a classic grape variety that combines predominantly Merlot (65%) with Cabernets for tannin contribution and finesse (30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon); Château Beauregard has undergone extensive renovation of the vineyard and cellars undertaken since 1991 by the new owner (Crédit Foncier de France) which should gradually elevate this fine Pomerol with great potential to the very top rank of the appellation. The choice of delayed harvesting, extended maceration (3 to 5 weeks), and the creation of a second wine already allow us to taste the fruits of renewal: a very dark, almost black color, a bouquet marked by black fruits and quality wood, and a melting flavor with tannins that promise good aging potential
