Chateau Margaux Desmirail, The 3rd Grand Cru Classe Margaux is named after Jean Desmirail who founded the field at the end of the seventeenth century. Later, at the time of famous 1855 classification of Grands Crus de Bordeaux, he belonged to M. Sipière, who was also owner of Chateau Margaux. Desmirail Castle became the property of the Lurton family, belonging first to Lucien, 1981-1992, and to Denis, his son, who took the reins from.
