Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
The Pouilly-Fuisse La Croix Vieilles Vignes has mouth-watering aromas of honeysuckle blossoms and sugar-coated minerals. On the palate, this medium-to-full-bodied wine is rich, expressive, and broad. La Croix's silky-textured flavor profile is composed of stones and traces of butterscotch and tangerines. It should be at its peak between 1999 and 2005. Committed to low yields and late harvesting, Jean-Jacques Robert, one of the Maconnais' finest winemakers, has crafted four outstanding 1996s.

Château Denogent Robert
Denogent Robert
The estate Domaine Robert-Denogent - Fuissé - Pouilly Fuisse is not organic but tries to work the cleanest possible, with the sole aim of producing grapes of the finest and healthiest possible. The returns are initially limited by a short waist ("Guyot" with arched Mâconnais). The grapes are harvested at high maturity, while trying not to switch to the overripe, real risk in the great terroirs de Fuissé especially in recent years. The village is for us a little mecca large very ripe Chardonnay. After pressing and settling delicate wines are sung. No dangerous game farms for the cellar is cool, Domaine Robert Denogent does not cudgels and raises the lees as good and fresh as possible, two in winter, just as large growers that are murisaltiens Jean-François Germain and Francois Jobard. One goal: Domaine Robert Denogent producing great wines for aging, complex, fresh, and especially the most marked by their potential land.
