Château Teynac, Cru Bourgeois, Saint-Julien. At the heart of the great growths. Château Teynac is located on the gravelly soils of Beychevelle, in the prestigious Saint-Julien vineyard, where 90% of the appellation is classified as grand crus. The 14 hectares of vines at Château Teynac estate, averaging 35 years in age, are planted with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. Château Teynac is rigorously managed by the Pairault family who carry out manual harvesting with successive sorting, with an average yield of 43 hl/ha. The result is evident in wines that are both smooth and tannic, marked by the imprint of this magical terroir that gives them finesse and power, at a very affordable price for the appellation.
