Expert's opinions

Information on the 1978 vintage Red Burgundy : Outstanding. Thanks to high extract and tannins, the best are still drinking well and some have yet to attain their peak.No good burgundy cellar should be without a bottle or two!

Beautiful somber color. The nose is not very expressive at the opening. It needs a bit of time to express itself. But the mouth is immediately expressive. The wine is thick and rich. Powerful, perfectly balanced. It fills the mouth. An indisputable effect of the vintage. 1978 is definitively a great vintage. This is not a grand cru nor a 1st growth but this wine is veritably excellent. Bravo to Maison Charton.
