Château Château Mont Redon
Château Mont Redon
The first vineyards of Mont-Redon date from Roman times. They were planted at the shelter from the mistral at the foot of a hill that gave the name of Mont-Redon our property (Latin montem retundum, the "Round Mountain" and Provencal mourredon). Driven by a passion for their craft, always looking for land for grape quality fit, the descendants of Henri Plantin continue the investigative work and enlarge the field. Today, Chateau Mont-Redon covers 174 hectares in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, including 100 hectares planted with vines. In 1980, operations expanded with the purchase of a domain in Côtes-du-Rhone and in 1997, another in Lirac. For four generations, the heart of the vineyards over the centuries, our daily enriches its expertise in respect of its quality requirements.
