Château Château Mont Redon
Château Mont Redon
The first vines of Mont-Redon date back to Roman times. They were planted sheltered from the mistral at the foot of a hill that gave our property the name Mont-Redon (in Latin, montem retundum, the "round hill" and in Provençal, mourredon). Driven by the same passion for their craft, always in search of quality terroirs for the best-suited grape varieties, Henri Plantin's descendants continue this investigative work and expand the estate. Today, Château Mont-Redon covers 174 hectares in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, including 100 hectares planted with vines. In 1980, the operation expanded with the purchase of an estate in Côtes-du-Rhône, then in 1997, another in Lirac. For four generations, at the heart of its vineyard through the centuries, our family has been daily enriching its expertise while respecting its quality standards.
