Information on the vintage 1962 red Bordeaux:
Thoroughly upstaged by the quality, the sheer bravado of the preceding year. But because the 1961 vintage was very small and, in the light of the times, very expensive, the abundant crop of the very good 1962 following a satisfactory growing season, proved useful. I have always liked this now somewhat underrated and largely overlooked vintage.
