Information on the vintage 1983 red Rhone:
A magnificent summer, one of the hottest and driest on record. The wines were initially rich and concentrated with hard tannins. If 1978, as it were, set the wheels in motion, 1983 sped the Rhone on its way. The reds are still drinking well.
