1991 Old wines, 1991 Grands Crus Classés. A generally good vintage. In Bordeaux, the late flowering and spread out in Pomerol and Saint-Emilion wille require a harvest in several stages and therefore a lot of energy. A forgotten vintage, it nevertheless knew how to create a surprise by offering delicious wines. The red wines are interesting especially the Château Mouton Rothschild 1991, the Château Margaux 1991, the Château Lafite Rothschild 1991. However, the humid and stormy climate will not permite to produce a great Sauternes wines. In Burgundy, the red wines can be compared to the 1989 vintage and 1990 vintage. Althought slightly above them, prefer the premier ru or grand cru of Burgundy like the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti 1991, Grivot Jean 1991… Finally, in the Rhone Valley, there are a beautiful wines of 1991, especially in Cornas appellation and Côte-Rôtie appellation with the Domaine Chapoutier La Mordorée 1991 and its score of 100/100 Parker.
