1971 Vintage wine

The 1971 vintage is of very good quality with a lower yield

Thanks to the good weather during the summer, the grapes reached excellent ripeness. The red Bordeaux are very good. We recommend the Château Latour 1971, Château Cos d‘Estournel 1971 and Château Lafleur 1971. The Pomerol and Saint-Emilion appellations also offer harmonious wines such as Petrus 1971. The 1971 white wines are very successful and the Sauternes are hight quality. Among the most successful are : the Château d‘Yquem 1971 and Lafaurie Peyraguey 1971.

Judged to be the best vintage for the past 30 years by Michael Broadbent, the 1971 burgundies are excellent. The Côte-Rôtie displays good wines, the reds, like the whites, are successful. These 1971 wines are therefore among the great wines.
