Information on the vintage 1950 Pomerol:
The wines are incredibly rich, smooth and concentrated they can even in some cases rival the best Pomerol vintages 1947 and 1949.

Château Taillefer

Château Taillefer is the first wine estate acquired in 1923 by the family MOUEIX. Its origin is very ancient maps of the geographical engineer Pierre Belleyme the report surrounded by vineyards in 1764. Located on the edge of Libourne, Château Taillefer is directed by Catherine Moueix who inherited. She does a flawless, caring culture and wine on par with the best wines of the area. Merlot and Cabernet Franc (75% and 25% of the blend) are planted on sandy-gravelly soils rich in iron dross. Resulting from manual harvesting, the wine is aged 15 months in oak barrels.
