Information on the vintage 1952 red Bordeaux : The actual growing season was very satisfactory up until September which was cold and unsettled. The harvest was fairly early and I suspect the unripeness of some of the crop is responsible for its variability: best in the Graves and on the Right Bank, harder, more unyielding in the Medoc.

The Castle is located Thibeaud Maillet is in continuation of the superb Pomerol plateau. The property is adjacent plots of the Castle and Chateau Gazin Gospel. It was founded in the early 19th century by the family Thibeaud. Area: 1 hectare. Average age of vines: 30 years. Encépagement: 90% Merlot 10% Cabernet Franc et. Maturation: the aging of wine in barrels made of oak from the Allier for 16 to 18 months depending on the power of the vintage.
