In the heart of the Libourne appellations, the Pomerol vineyard Château La Croix des Templiers had to wait until the early 20th century to see its reputation grow and match Saint-Émilion's prestige, despite its significantly smaller size. Its heavily clay-based terroir proves remarkably suitable for Merlot and gives the wine an inimitable fullness, roundness, and silkiness. A perfect illustration of the Pomerol style with Château La Croix des Templiers, an estate recently acquired by the demanding Catherine Péré-Vergé. A generous and ample wine, endowed with beautiful velvety texture and aromas of raspberries, blackberries, and blackcurrants.
