In Bordeaux, the winter and spring were cold, fortunately, the summer was long and warm. Due to the run-off, the half-harvest of 1926 gave very good wines, sometimes above the 1921 and 1929. In Bordeaux, the red wines are of very high quality, powerful and with a beautiful color.

The sweet wines of Sauternes are splendid and reveal their finesse and mellowness.

In Burgundy, the harvest was small, but of very good quality. The red wines are full-bodied and firm and can be kept for a very long time.
