Château Romer du Hayot is a 15-hectare wine estate located in Fargues, Gironde. In the Sauternes AOC, it is classified as a Second Growth (Deuxième Grand Cru) in the official 1855 Bordeaux Wine Classification. The soil of the terroir is gravelly and clay-gravel, with a grape variety composition of 70% Sémillon, 25% Sauvignon, and 5% Muscadelle. The vines have an average age of 35 years. The wine is aged for 36 months in oak barrels, and the estate produces approximately 25,000 bottles per year of this Grand Cru.
