Château Mallard-Gaulin
Mallard-Gaulin
Maison Mallard-Gaulin Burgundy and Beaujolais. Those who enjoy more evolved wines will be delighted by this Chambolle-Musigny. It is undoubtedly the finest, the most fragrant of the Côte de Nuits. In the 2001 vintage, it is silky and delicate. Quite colorful, sometimes with a slightly orange-tinged ruby red robe, its fruity and velvety structure is enhanced by flavors of wood, leather, and licorice. The aromas evolve towards brandy-soaked cherries, prunes, moss, musk, and coffee. It is best appreciated with small game and wild mushrooms.
