Château Vieux Château Bourgneuf
Vieux Château Bourgneuf
Vieux Château Bourgneuf - Pomerol Bordeaux. A 9-hectare vineyard (90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc). The owners' daughter, Frédérique, has joined them as technical manager. The 2006 Pomerol is rich and full-bodied, ample, with firm yet round tannins, offering great harmony on the palate, where morello cherry and humus mingle. It is dense, with excellent aging potential, much like the 2005, which is intense, powerful, with a beautiful fleshy attack, generous and persistent, displaying pronounced aromas of cooked small red fruits. It is a smooth and harmonious wine, very promising, with a nice volume in the mouth underlined by fine tannins and great persistence. The 2004 is remarkable, fleshy, with supple tannins and an intense nose (blackberry, spices), very harmonious.
