Information on the vintage 1964 red Bordeaux:
Dismiss the idea that this was anything other than a very good vintage; yet it is tarnished merely because of very heavy but localised rain in the middle of the harvest, mainly in Pauillac and St. Estephe. Even the rain-soaked vineyards managed to produce some vrey flavoury wines. Nevertheless, it must be admitted that the very best of '64s were made to the south of the Medoc.
