Château Des Mailles
Château des Mailles has belonged to the Larrieu family since 1734. It is situated on a clay-limestone hillside facing the Garonne River, resting on enormous banks of fossilized oysters. Benefiting from a full southern exposure, the vineyard spans an area of 28 hectares, of which 23 are dedicated to white grape varieties and 5 to red grape varieties. The sweet white wines of Château des Mailles, under the "Sainte-Croix-du-Mont" appellation, have a beautiful golden yellow color, are powerful, elegant, and finish with a welcome fine bitterness. The range is complemented by the production of red Bordeaux, rosé Bordeaux, and dry white Bordeaux, as well as two second wines: L'enclos des Mailles and Château Haut-Mayne, both excellent Sainte-Croix-du-Mont appellations.
